isonic 111 ad fins
Hi, I have a Isonic 111 2010 wood carbon, my sails are Neilpryde rs racing 7.8 and 7.2
My weight is 75 kg and I'm 180 cm tall I have some problems to choose the right fin for my board, my doubts are among those fins listed: Deboichet Sl2 Deboichet Sl4 Tectonics Talon Vector Canefire Can someone help me to decide the right fin and the right size? Thanks |
Vector canefire in 42cm will do with the 7.8 and 40 cm with 7.2

Thanks for your reply...you mean vector carbon or g10 fins?
What about the Tectonics Talon fins, do you know the difference with vector fin? |
zalcort,
I know the Talon is out there, but it's not on their website? I don't understand this. http://tectonicsmaui.com/ However, I have been using a Tectonics Tomcat 42 on my iS 111 for a few years and love the fin. I use it with my 8.4, 7.6 and 6.6 race sails. I weigh 77kg and free sail the board. The 42 is a little small for the 8.4 and a little large for the 6.6, but overall, a good one fin solution. |
hi zalcort,
the sl4 is much better than sl2 for this board. sl2 spin out often. with 44 you can get early planning and nice lift on flat water with your 7,8. 42 better for your weight on choppy water. for the 7,2 40 cm is nice but in overpower condition i would prefer 38 for you in the iSonic 111. i dont know the tech and vectors. i hope its help, gyurmo |
