Starboard boards suck
Tried a futura today, worst turning and handling board I have ever ridden.
|
...... well I love mine. Handles chop with ease and gybes a treat

I wonder what you are comparing it too? I had a couple of the 2008s and thought they were pretty good.
|
if one is to comment on something in a negative fashion, there must have been a comparison
in other words - what are you coming the futura with if the Futura sucks - in your opinion - then which board is great in chop n turns ?? |
hi taylor tootoo,
you surprise me, cos i felt Futura very easy jiber and easy to handle board (actually easier than iSonic), one of the best from our flat water range. but if you tried Futura after the use of Evo or Flare i have to be agree with you. so i agree with macka packa, the question is turning bad compare to ??? by the way what size of fin do you use in which size futura and what is your sail size and weight? cheers, gyurmo |

crap turns
i agree with taylor doo doo,
i tried the futura in maui at kanaha beach on a marginal day, with the biggest sail Kanaha kai had for rental a 6.0 something, hot sails fire i think. It turned like crap when i went on a wave , and by crap i mean in comparison to the series of kodes and quads the week before, in waves in 4.2 conditions. yup when i tried that futura in comparison on a wave doing a cutback yeah turned like crap. but it was a heck of alot faster, and gybed nice around some marks the race guys put out , racing custom boards and neil pryde race sails, i mean I almost kept up! but they were running 7.0 at least. shredulato |
Yes, I agree, my ferrari is really crap in the desert compared to my 4-wheel drive Jeep. Jeezes, what a crap.

haha! maybe taylor poopoo can't windsurf? C'mon the futura is insane and it turns easy as hell... want something difficult get a 20 year old f2 sputnik, the one with Gorby on it...
