Small cracks in finbox of Acid built 2006

Is it necessary to repair Small cracks in finbox of Acid built 2006 which continue to underside of the hull 5 mm long. Cracks start from front and back side of finbox. Does the water go deep in the hull or is it stopped by pvc enclosing the finbox?
