Flare for freeriding in chop?

Hi,

Will the flare 111 be suitable for freeriding in chop and small waves.
I think the heel gutters will be comfortable.

Thanx,

Marc

RE: Flare for freeriding in chop?

Yes, but it depends. The F99 I have (same shape, only a bit thinner) handles chop well, I would say and I've ridden it in pretty rought stuff (5.3 fully lit, "open lake"). The board is also fast and very fast to plane and generally a nice ride. However, if you're only gonna freeride you might also look at S-types, Carves, Kombats etc. The Flare is, after all, a Freestyle board primarily.
