Pure acid 80 and 5,8 sail

My weight is 85 kg.
I have the acid 88 which is perfect with Ezzy SE 5,8.
Can I please have some respons about the Pure Acid, Ezzy SE 5,8 and typical scandinavic onshore sailing in small to moderate waves. Can the PA 80 handle the 5,8 sail?
With regards,
JJ

As long as you keep reasonably powered up it should work great. You might wanna tune the feel with a bigger fin for onshore stuff. I've seen KP use the PA74 with a 5.7 (or something around that) and he is your weight.

I'm just a couple of kg lighter than you are JJ and the Acid 80 with a 5.8 MS Global or 5.7 Legend works exceptional well for me. It handles that sized sail easily without ever feeling like there is too much sail. It will plane for me in 15-16 knots of steady wind and with a bigger fin like the Drake 25, I can easily get upwind. I have a preference of smaller boards and actually prefer the PA80 over the PA86 with the 5.8.

Pa 80

Thanks to all of You out there.
I think I will go for the Pure acid 80. I first had the SB Surf 89 and after then the first version of the Acid 88.
But those of You who have sailed the PA 80 (2006). Is it still the best for onshore sailing even compared to the new 2008.
JJ.
