? sail range for evo 100?

Whats your weight? I've used it with a HotSailsMaui Superfreak 7.0 and that worked out fine. But I'm only 70 kilos.

i weigh about 200#

i wonder if the E100 would handle the Sfeak 8.0 as well...but that might be mighty big in the surf..thoughts?

I think you would be better of going to a big Kombat which have a real wave rocker but a fast one (same as Pure Acids) f you're gonna push it as far as 8.0. My experience is that big superfreaks (even 7.0) work better when you can trim them a bit flatter and capitalize on a fast rocker. In this mode te superfreaks both get a good "glide" and also much better pumping and overall this gets very effective. The EVOs, especially when you load lots of sail on them, like some bottom end grunt to get going.

At 200lbs 7.0 might just work but it wont be the most lively package around.
