Futura Wood or Technora impact strenght

Hi
can someone tell me what board is more better in a way to survive
impact from the mast or something else?

Does more money(wood) is realy better than Technora?

Or it is just lighter? And the strenght is the same as Technora.

I am recreational windsurfser, prefering rather little bit more strenght
board, with little bit less performance.

Alen:rolleyes:

Hi Alen

In my experience the wood tecnology lasts longer than technora, with general impacts of sailing ie chop, feet etc. It is less resistant to a pointed knock, like a pin mast base, mast or elbow etc.

If your going to be droping the mast a fair bit, I would suggest the Technora, as this has more resistance to direct knocks than the wood, a little less performance.

So in your case spending a little less money, will save you $$$ in the 1st place and some possible repair bills down the track.
