Board Sail size?
 

Hello

Ok here is my question.
I have a good opportunity to buy a Starboard S-Type 126l wood board, but my sail size is 8.5, and my fin is 42 cm. On your site I found out that the max sail size is 8.0 and fin 40 cm.
So can u please help me and tell me if this combination will work with the board or not?
(I am 110 kg of weight).

Hi Zakinjo,

The combination will work ~ but will not be ideal for light or medium slalom/B&J conditions.

For a rider weight of 110 kg, this design board will be more suited to (well powered) use in windier conditions and smaller sails (6.5 to 7.5m for a rider of 110kg) , rather than trying to overload it with bigger sail, bigger fin and bigger rider all at once.

The ideal choice of board will depend upon your intended sailing (sail size) range - plus also the ride style/program you want to follow. With some more info from you on these factors, we can offer more ideal suggestions.
