Mark H IS-144

Hello Mark H! Would like to ask you about your Isonic 144. How do you like the performance? What year is it? What is the optimum sail size for this board? I'm thinking a 9.5m with a 56cm fin to get going in 8-10 knots.

Hi Phil, love it, 9m warp & 52cm in 10k to 15k. 11m Warp & 58cm in 8k to 10k. Could probably get away with a 9.9 warp (or 9.5m in your case) & 52cm & 56cm as a one sail for all. I'm 105kg and in sub 10k the advantage goes to formula set ups. But in 10/12k upwards the iS144 leaves Formula standing in non-course racing situations. If your out mainly 8-10k conditions, then might be worth considering an iS150, 10/12k upwards go with the iS144.

p.s. I've not ridden a iS150, so I'm guessing its got a more power full ride than the iS144, but not to sure as its got very thin rails!!!

Thanks for the insight MarkH! I weigh 100kg and plan to race the IS144. The IS150 exceeds the width limit rule so I think the ticket is the 144. Right now I am using an SX130 and just can't get it going in 8-10 knots with a 9.0
