Difference between Futura 144 and 155
 

I am considering buying a new Furtura 144 or 155 from 2008.
My biggest sail is a Neilpryde V8 9.0 m2, and I weigh 100 kg.

How much earlier in windspeed would I get planing with 155?

Is it any big difference in carve jibes and choppy waters between 144 and 155?

Just be sure it is REALLY 144 or 155 litres true volume before you buy . I am on a Futura 122,same weight as you and it sinks so that would be the borderline size.Then again you might even find a 133 is the gear...

133 could be an alternative.
I have a Bic Techno 283 152 litres, which I will replace, I am looking at Futura 144 or 155and later on I will also buy a smaller board about 110 litres.
So I wonder if I will plane earlier with 155 than 144 with my weight 100kg and V8 9.0 m3

I chosed Futura 155 and I am really satisfied with the board.

How much wind do you need with that combo, 9.0 and 155l? I'm considering the same board.

I need about 14-15 knots, my early planing/pump technique is very poor.
It keeps planing through lulls very well.
