HPL No longer making booms
It's a sad day HPL is not making anymore booms. I have always had great luck with thier booms and found them the best , I have owned Fiberspar, chinook and Neil Prye but have always liked HPL the Best, thin grip, tough grip, lost of range There has been som great brands go down over the last couple of years hopefully no more i.e windsurfing Hawaii, F2 (now up and running again) Hifly, and now H.Pl

You can buy MauiSails Booms from now on!! They are the best if not better than HPL.

MS long carbon booms are heavy.
New North booms are something realy light, with good curve and makes stance better. |
I dont mind heavy, I do mind availability and warranty plus reliability. More than Any boom in the industry.
|
I use the smaller maui sails boom, 190-240 which is heavy, but ok.
Have to agree with HPL user, the bigger sizes are just too heavy. |
I have the Maui Sails carbon wave 170-230, and it's a fantasic product. Also, I retrofited my larger 2004 HPL with the Maui Sails front end, and that change made an incredible difference in the boom's performance.

I use the MS 260-310cm with my Formula sails, since that time I have not any stress more about braking a boom.
|
I use the 170-230 MauiSails Boom Super light weight, then I also Have the 190-230 super stiff and never had any problems either and the 230-290 for big sails is the best thing I have ever had compare to any company I used before.
