Atom 2010
Hi,
the new atom looks very interesting to me. Why it has a tuttlebox ? Any riding experience ? Thanks in advance uwe |
Hoi Uwe,
to me it seems like the old Aero...it had more or less the same dimensions and was also equipped with tuttle (the massive wave fin looked a bit strange but was fine). I loved it as a one-board solution ...I had it in 117 liters and it was fine. If I am right and the board is close to Aero...it will be a right board for everyone who is looking for the maximum use paid by a less top performance...but it still is fun with it (at least it was for me). Ciao Michal. |
I didn't order an Atom myself (too many baords allready) but I was VERY tempted. To me it sound like a fun concept. And indeed there is a lot of Aero heritage in there, in thinner package. Just the other day I sailed light win waves with a 100kg guy who was having a blast on his original Aero 117. For a big guy like that the Aero was one of only a few really big wave boards. The Atom follows these steps and also adds the feeling of sailing strapless, which is btw something I've enjoyed with my full EVA deck Starsurfer which is also the original Aero shape. A fun and unusual feeling both in waves and on flat water.

Hi Ola,
thanks for answer, but why the Atom needs a tuttlebox ? How about the carbon wood weight ? |
UWE:
I think there is an error in the box. From what I can see in the picture the box is a 8" US Box. Also you cant see any tuttle screw holes on the top side of the board towards the tail. You can see Footstraps holes in the middle also in out board and inboard locations. |
Hi nonopr
thanks but there is written it has a tuttlebox?! greetings uwe |
