Futura 122 negative rocker
 

Just received a 2009 Futura 122. It is has the expected bit of positive tail rocker. However, between the front of the fin box and the mid portion of the board (36" forward of the tail), there is about 1/16" of negative rocker. When I put a straight edge along this part of the board, a 1/16" piece of wood will slip under the straight edge. Is this normal? First time I've seen this kind of bottom profile.

I don't think this could possibly be a good (intentional) design feature, but I sure would like to hear some other opinions on this one too...
