Formaula LWR or HWR for me
Hello,
i want enter a Formual Board for this Year. I am unsure what board i should take . The LWR or HWR. my weight is 80-81 kg and i am 183cm high. Sailing of 9-12 mē. Can you give a hint? Thanks Thorsten |
They are going to tell you that both. But it all depend on what conditions you will be rideing these boards.
If it is in light wind and mostly with your 12m then the HWR. If it is in 18-25 knots and in your 10m sail then the LWR. |
Hi Thorsten,
To be more precise at 80 kgs both board can work for you, but when I see your sails size I will be more in favor of the LWR. Both board are working great in light winds at your weight but the LWR will be easier over 15 knots. If you like the 160 more than the 161 go for the LWR otherwise HWR. Hope this help All the best |
Hi Thorsten,
Here more info from our Team Rider who was the last one to test the prototype before production : http://www.star-board.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8085 All the best |
Hello Remi,
nice to hear you. Now i have ordered 11,0mē Point7 AC1 and in exceptions i take my 9.0m2. Can you say LWR or HWR now finaly. Thanks a lot Thorsten P.s. do you remeber me? Yo mediated me to deboichet before 3 Months ;-) iSonic 121 and 144 -2010 |
Hi Thorsten,
If you plan to use 11 and 9mē so your race aera is quiet windy place, in this case go for sure for the LWR All the best |
I got Jesper Vesterstrom to write some things about the HWR and LWR; maybe this article can also help people make a decision.
