GO side fins stabilizers
 

Hi Roger and others :),

i have an older Starboard GO (2004, 150) model. i wanted to get some of the side fins for it and can;t seem to find any. do you think it would be possible to fabricate my own side fins? any idea of the dimensions below the waterline? i used to have a go friendship with these stabilizers. i find people really only need them the first few times they sail and get used to the board pretty quickly without them. i would love to find some however. any help is appreciated.

I'm not at home at the moment, but I think I have a set of "Starbilizer" side fins.
Does your 2004 GO 150 have 3 holes (inserts actually) in the rails or 4 holes?
I can check when I arrive home next week and give you patterns.... etc.
Others have sucessfully built their own side fins.
Another option would be to have a deep Tuttle fin box placed in the center of the
board, but this is non-reversible and would require either very good repair skills on your part or taking the board to a really good repair shop.

thank you for the help. the go 150 has three holes on each side to attach the fins. i think the screws to attach the fins are shorter than footstrap screws also?

Hi again pwindsurf,
I finally made it home from the work trip I was on out in Calif.
I have 2 sets of "Starbilizer " side fins.
One set if got a G0 200 and the other set looks like it's for a
smaller GO and the smaller set was mfg. in 2005.
If you want them, send me a private email and we can
negoitate a price and get the shipping details worked out.
I also have a set of the 23 mm long screws I'm pretty sure.

P.S. I think the '04 and '05 GO boards had very similar
rail shapes so I would expect these side fins to be a good fit.
