Formula 42?

Hi all, can someone please explain to me what is the concept/ course design of Formula 42? Thanks in advance.

Hi Nifty,

Formula 42 was 1 Race-Board and 1 slalom board + 4 sails, but I presume that you are talking about slalom 42.

Do close to be the same but 2 slalom boards with 4 sails.

The bigger board can not be over 80cm wide while the sail can not bigger than 10m.

All the best

Hi Remi, yes, I think it's slalom 42 I'm thinking of. My question is what kind of course is it? Is there some upwind legs and then downwind slalom or what?

I've read in the rules that only a 20% of slalom race can be upwind, but in fact I think the most common is 8 figure, M figure downwind and long distance.

Ok, thanks. So there can be some upwind, depending on...location, wind direction & strength...
