Flare 98 litres - 2011
 

Hi Folks,

Just wondering what's new for this board in 2011...except the new fluo colour :cool:

Compare to a 2010 one, is it really necessary to invest in the 2011 board or to buy a 2nd hand (2010)? Just to notice that I am a novice in freestyle (but 17 years in waves and slalom) and I'm looking for a board that I'm gonna keep for several years.

If you guys have had the opportunity to ride it (Taty/Nico are around?), it would be very very nice to give us a small review or thought of this new flare...:D

I think the foot straps and an extra protection coating for the wood verison are the new extras. I have the 2010 106 and 98 models. I've also ordered the new straps.

I've asked Taty to comment as I'm not fully up to speed on the Freestyle boards.

Just got the word from Taty that the 2011 shape is the same as the 2010. Straps and some construction details are new though. But if you can find a good deal on a 2010 in good conditions, I reckon that's for sure an interesting option.

If you are based in the uk you cold try rat rigs in cardiff - 02920 621309 (www.ratrigs.com) they have a used 2010 flare 98 wood carbon that they could do you a good price on.

I should know i work there ;-)
