In my opinion the iS87 is one of the best boards I've had in a long time - quick and very easy to sail and gioes upwind like it's on rails - miles...

The board does feel quite big and will easily carry a 10.8 formula sail (using a bigger fin).

You're wrong about the 7.5 infinity - it has as gutsy a bottom end as any other twin cam around.

On the ezzy skinny it is perfect and has a lovely light and powerful feel with easy handling.

Following a day of testing out the 7.7 and 8.6 I have decided to take Ian and Phil's advice and stick with my iS115.

It will take a powered up 8.6 and with 7.7 it is perfect.

Tried a Sonic 125...

Thanks Remi,

I have decided to go for the iS122

Unfortunately I don't like the smaller Starboards (had a Sonic 95 once but didn't like it).

So for use with 6.4 I am looking for a Fanatic...

The 8.6 is probably not as responsive at the bottom end as a Lightning - but it will take a lot of wind.

I've also got a 10.6 X-15 and this is excepionally good.
