RE: Why I'm into longboards
Yeah longboards are really cool!!
I kite and windsurf, but when summer comes and I want to sail anywhere without a struggle then I pull out the old longboards and have a blast. I'm looking...

RE: Which alu booms for formula experience?
Carbon is lovely... but at a huge price these days!!!
I've got lots of carbon booms, but for me I decided to get my smallest wave boom in aluminium as I think in this size it'll be fine. I have...

Hey anymore pictures and info on this board? I've been holding out to see what SB would bring to the table and so far it looks great. Going to be interesting to see how this and the Exocet compare,...

RE: new vs. old slalom shapes
Hey hope you guys don't mind me resurrecting this thread, found it quite interesting and useful. We've had no wind for ages, so I've had to take up skateboarding again! :D
Anyway last year I got...

RE: Bye Bye Starboard
Actually I'd say the website is better than last years and the forum, though much quieter, at least isn't full of crap!! :)
Now they just need to work on why the site seems down quite often?? :|

RE: Gybing a 150 to 175 liter board.
Just go Isonic 155 and 9.0 freerace sail and you'll have fun. Went out on my F-148 and 10m sail yesterday and had a blast! My windsurf buddies couldn't believe my planing in 8-12 knots!

Yeah noticed that on many other forums! Don't know why he abuses others on the forums, but it's certainly not nice! :@
I'd agree in that he should seek help. join a windsurf or other sports club...

RE: Apollo Vs F161
Hi Milk,
I just think even with two guys equal fitness, skill etc, the equipment and general wind strengths make it so big guys do better. I remember Robby Naish commenting on this and he's big...

RE: Apollo Vs F161
Hi Remi, what you said is true, but once the wind becomes normal, then big guys just have such an advantage. By limiting the sail size, it would add balance, unless racing always occurs at 6- 11...

RE: Race sail for 25-35knots
I hope to find out next year when I go for a I sonic 87 to retire my Protech 272. I'm guessing the sweet spot is much larger on the new boards. However during the right conditions, I'm sure the old...

RE: Apollo Vs F161
Although formula gear is impressive for VMG courses, wearing a GPS, shows the top end speeds are less than sensible sized gear in my experience. If you are planning to do back and forth sailing, then...

RE: Apollo Vs F161
Hey Nathan
I've used a 2003 model Formula board a few times with a 10.6m sail. I decided to go for the more free formula route and go with a F-148 and 10m sail.
Thinking about it now, I would...

I agree that for me Forumula gear tends to look pretty aweful! I mean an Equipe has much nicer lines. But Formula is purely a factor of function. I went for the F-148 just because the...
