For me at 72kg the best size is a 5.3
Tested with 5.8 and 7.0, did not find any advantage over the 5.3, only worse handling.

This weekend I had the chance to try the 12'6'' with other sails sizes, the Superfreak 7.0 and 5.8, flat water.

With the 7.0 I did not miss a bigger fin, even when the wind went up a little,...

12'6'' first impression from a newbie at Supping

This weekend I've had the chance to try my 12'6'' for first time. On Friday I spent about 1,5 hour paddling in flat water. About 8knots and choppy water, not too friendly for the first experience...

the board is a Tabou 3S107 LTD, my weight 73kg
The target is improving basic skills: fast tack, gybing, helitack, 360, clew first, jumping, so on..

Hi,

my biggest sail at the moment for a 107 l freewave board is a 6.2

Will I get significant improvement on early planning side buying a 6.9/7.0 rig? About how many knots?
