Does any one use a Gath Helmet, and care to comment on their experiences?

How are the "convertible visors" or "retractable visors" for eye protection; draining; and misting?

Thanks...

I'm (85kg) looking for a 2008 iS122 with 6.6; 7.6; and 8.2 on pretty flat to inner harbour chop. B&F and off-wind...

Hi Koray

For a quick fix, and if you don't want to mess with resins (the best long-term solution) then try stips of PVC electrical tape up the front and/or back edges. You're only trying to pack...

I usual try to get on the plane with my FT158 using Roger's suggestion: front foot in strap; pump; plane; hook-in; back foot.

However, if there's enough wind power and I'm tired then...

If you try and load the fin before there's enough...

RE: How to get on plane on Ftype and what is the correct stance - need help.

Hi Marek

With the FT158 and 9.5 the stock fin is fine. Bigger can get you planning earlier and higher upwind angles, but at the cost of speed and "leg burn".

I use a Dakine XT Seat harness. ...

RE: How to get on plane on Ftype and what is the correct stance - need help.

I use 7.6, 8.5 and 9.5 on the FT158 in usually gusty/patchy conditions so my thresholds are vague (depends on chop; energy levels for pumping or overpowered).

RE: isonic or s-type & size

Hi Ian

Yes, at this stage I plan to keep the FT158 - for at least one more season - and the 6.5-7.6 board prime focus will be for speed, leaving the smallest board for B&J duty.

Thanks -...
