Same thing happen to me. I ordered an Is90 eight months ago and was told a month ago that there weren't any available. I then changed the order to an Is97 and it is supposed to be delivered in the...

Why the difference in recommended fin & sail size?

I received my Is130 today an noticed that the recommended fin and sail size as noted on the board is different from that shown on the Isonic spec page on this Website (under products). The spec page...

Yes. The 117 is 80 cm. wide, but rides very nicely for such a wide board and it will handle a large range of sails. It feels much smaller than the 127 (I had an Is131 and now have a 137). The 110...

Have a look at the is117. IMO it is much nicer than the 122 (I used to own one) and will be great for those marginal days (why aren't you using the is127 on the marginal days?). Anyway, I have...

I sailed the 110 with a Sailworks NX 7.1 race sail a day ago and found that the board lives up to its hype, at least with this sail. I'll try it with larger sails when the opportunity arises. The...

I'm 180 to 185 pounds (82 kilos). I sail relatively flat water and the 110 should fulfill my needs better than my 107 (which I really like). It took awhile to receive the board, but was worth the...

I agree with the above comments, but I'd skip the IS122 and get the Is107 or the IS110. I have experience with both the 122 and 107 and IMO the 107 is a much better board. I have the IS110 on order...

Isonic 110 or 117

I would like an opinion with respect to which of these two boards (Is 110 or Is117) would suite my purposes. I weigh approximately 82 kilos and have been sailing for 30 years. I presently own a...

I can't think of any sport where one individual has dominated like BD has. I was fairly young when he started winning titles. That was then (23 years ago) and this is now.

My impression of the FF138 (have both versions) is that it will plane really early, but wont maintain the plane as well through lulls as an Is 131 or 150. Once the newer boards plane they want to...

BD uses a low boom position, relatively speaking, and a wide harness line position because it works! He must be very comfortable with this set up and you can't argue about how fast he is. I've been...

I too bought a couple of NP pads and cut them off the part that attaches to the boom. They have two clips each which hold them onto the mast -- just keep the clips away from the cambers.. I...

The "best" deal with it and move on. "Fair" really isn't part of the equation. This sort of thing happens at various times to just about all professionals - they put it down to bad luck! You've...

What's really interesting is that some knew what they were talking about two years ago while others didn't have a clue. Interesting thread from a historical perspective.

Many of my boards have recessed mast tracks - 2009 Is 111, 222, 150 and 2010 Is 131, but if you blow up the side shots of the 2011 Isonics you'll see that the entire deck takes a dramatic dip before...

Remi, you recommended the Is 150 to me back in 2009 and I bought one. What a great board! This thing is fast on all points of sail and very comfortable with big sails. Now that I've spent some...

Here are the boards I'd pick.

IS 147 - 8.6 to 10.8 sq. m.
IS 107 - 6.5 to 8.6 sq. m.
IS 87 - 4.8 to 6.5 sq. m.

What a fun quiver that would be and it would cover just about all...

Good Lord, the deck concaves on the new Isonics are incredibly radical. For the most part the boards seem a little longer too and the weights of the carbon boards are very light.

Now that I've had some time recently on both the Is 131 and 150 i have to confess that I prefer the gybing ability of the Is 150 over the Is 131! That's a big surprise for me since the Is 150 is...
