Kode wave 87 - fin sizes
How sensitive are the new Kode waves to fin sizes in twin setup? I have the new 87 and have used it with both 4.7 and 5.2 sails. Mostly bump n jump sailing but the MB 17's seem quite good so far....

Hi Ben,
I think you will get a bit more out of it yet, the 94 is a fast board. I have had mine up to 34+ knots and that was with a drake wave fin and ezzy wave sail. See my gps team challenge link...

2013 Carve 111
Hi all,
Would it be unrealistic to think a twin cambered 7.5m sail (ezzy Lion) would work well on a 2013 111 Carve? I'd like to be able to run this setup using a more freerace orientated fin ( C3...

PrydeMan - maybe GatorMan would be more appropriate now :-)
One last question - any reason a 7.5m twin cambered sail wouldnt be suitable for the Carve121. I'm fairly decided on...

Thanks to both of you for the advice!
I've narrowed it down to either the Carve121 or Futura121. It's a tough choice as I like the idea of racing, upwind performance, etc. but also just like to...

2013 Carve 131
Hi All,
I'm considering a new Carve131 in wood for my light wind (13-18 knot) sailing. I'll mostly be using a 7.5 Ezzy Lion twin cam on this board. What I am curious about is, how would this board...

Hi mikerb,
I did the same - that is, replaced my Freerace (Futura111) board with the 2012 Isonic107 Carbon. I use a twin cambered 7.5m sail and 38 - 42cm C3 Venoms depending on water conditions....

Carves and Futuras
Hi all,
There was some mention of the 2012 Carves being nearly or as fast as the Futura's. Was there much progress in this actually being proved or tested? I'm interested to know how they compare...

I've decided the Futura111 is the way to go and get a 7.8m freerace sail (Loft Switchblade) that will work with my current mast. I just hope this is...

Hi Remi,
I suspected as much with regards to the 2012 Futura111. Having the wider tail and larger fin as well as other small changes I thought might make it still a good choice for me. My...

Hi MOP,
I have the 2011 wood Kode94. I am 82kg and 185cm tall. For me a 5.5m wave sail feels pretty much perfect on the Kode. I have tried it with a 6m no cambered freeride sail also but I didn't...

Hey Jez,
I'd go something around the 7m-7.5m range. Either Cambered or no cam would work well. I also have a Futura111 and use this board with a 7m no cam sail. I also weight 82kg and get going in...
