The fin configuration for small waves and general bump and jump conditions work well for me. In underpowered to powered conditions, I've been able to carve some really tight arcs to work...

As a matter of practice, I always recess the screw head by drilling into the fins. This clears the flow at the base of the fin and reduces the occurance of catching weeds.
