I had a sonic 95 and I've now got an iSonic 87.

In my opinion the iS87 is one of the best boards I've had in a long time - quick and very easy to sail and gioes upwind like it's on rails - miles...

For 30kts its got to be iS86

For 10m its got to be iS133

Ideal quiver would include iS111 for 7.5m weather.

I know - I sail em.

The board does feel quite big and will easily carry a 10.8 formula sail (using a bigger fin).

With 9.0m it is an early...

You're wrong about the 7.5 infinity - it has as gutsy a bottom end as any other twin cam around.

On the ezzy skinny it is perfect and has a lovely light and powerful feel with easy handling.

For what it,'s worth - I don't agree with Phil that the stock fin is too big.

I'm 82 kg and sailing the 87 with 6.4 on flat water and I find the stanadard 32 Drake to be perfect.

For a bit of...

RE: iSonic 122 or iSonic 133 ?

Following a day of testing out the 7.7 and 8.6 I have decided to take Ian and Phil's advice and stick with my iS115.

It will take a powered up 8.6 and with 7.7 it is perfect.

Tried a Sonic 125...

RE: iSonic 122 or iSonic 133 ?

Thanks Remi,

I have decided to go for the iS122

RE: iSonic 122 or iSonic 133 ?

The 8.6 is probably not as responsive at the bottom end as a Lightning - but it will take a lot of wind.

I've also got a 10.6 X-15 and this is excepionally good.

RE: Formula or isonic 155 for max speed ?

The reason for my original question was that I was considering competing in the gps-speedsurfing.com formula rankings.

The regulations mean that the IS 155 would be classed as formula because its...

Formula or isonic 155 for max speed ?

Which would be quickest off the wind (ie maximum speed ignoring upwind abilities) a Formula or an isonic 155?

Say using an 11m sail or perhaps a 9.5m sail
