RE: new wave boards
I used to have a 05 Evo 74, and traded it in for a 07 80. It is an incredible board, that fits my weight 85kgs perfectly. In my opinion it is better thru the chop and responds quicker to foot...

RE: Evo or kombat
Evo is a pure wave board. I have the 07 80 which I love in the surf. But for flat water for your weight, the Acid 80/88 is a good board. Any trad wave board is 100 % on crazy flatwater chop and high...

RE: Footstrap width
The spacing on the new board straps is definitely too close. I have relatively small feet (UK9) and on my 07 Evo 80, the straps are a very tight fit (And I never use booties) . Maybe starboard used a...

RE: Wave Board Dilema - Ola
First feedback.
Under-powered gusty 15-30 knots. Flat water, very choppy.
Good :
Very good float on board in lulls, exactly what I wanted. Quick onto plane. Extremely sensitive to foot...

RE: good sail for an Evo (for early planning!)
Greetings,
I have just traded in my 74 for an 80, as I am going to a coastline with less wind. Any way, on my 74, the biggest I used to use was 4.7. I just don't like maxing boards out with big...

RE: Wave Board Dilema - Ola
Thanks. Sorry for all the questions. Will the extra 6 litres over the 74 give a noticeable difference in float in the lulls?

RE: Wave Board Dilema - Ola
I am just worried about the on off of the evo. Given my 74 was small for me, but I could not handle the lulls with it. I demo-ed an RWW 83, and as you say, it is easy to sail. Another problem I had...

RE: Wave Board Dilema - Ola
The sweet spot I am looking for is 5.5 Ezzy, good schlogger, and can take a 4.7 Ezy when needed 25 % of the time. I am not the best sailor. But it will be my middle / higher wind board. When too...

RE: Wave Board Dilema - Ola
Good day Ola. Finally managed to track down an 07 evo 80....but have also been tempted by the JP RWW 83. I have not ridden an evo 80, but have been on the RWW 83, and compared to the Evo 74, it is...

RE: Wave Board Dilema - Ola
Thanks as always for the reply. Bad news is all the Evo 80/83 have been sold. Good news is that I have found a demo 05 80 Acid. I will give this a try. Is this not going to similar in the lulls to...
