Is this the same board as the Widepoint 8'10" ?

The information is a bit unclear on the website, it says that it has a Windsurfer board plan shape / rocker. Just wondering how different it is to...

No disrespect intended. If you've just started to waterstart then i'd say you'd be at the level that you probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a single or twin fin wave board. I...

I think most of the newer boards (excluding race hulls) have a mast foot fitting. I tried an element 9' 8" recently and this had mast base fittings as well as some strap fittings.

I find SB naming...

I've owned a IS111 and FU133, both 09 models. the IS111 planed earlier (wider tail) and was faster on any point of sail. FU133 felt like a pig in comparison. The late model Futuras may be different,...

My Isonic 111 had a wider tail and more power than Futura 133 my partner used. There are quite a few differences between the Isonic and Futura, eg. you'll find it more diffocult to get your foot into...

Hesham, don't overlook a board like a Futura, you can get good speed out of the range 111L down, and the bigger boards will handle a smaller sail.

Unless you're an advanced / expert rider it's...

Slalom - big rangy sail, being on the edge, going flat out, everything maxed out...love it.

Waves - just fun and often excited / scary....smashing through some white water and...

Evo 90 - 2008 planing performance

I'm looking at buying an Evo 90 Xtv to use as a light wind wave board and B&J. Just wondering how quick the Evo is to get planing when you don't have a wave behind you, for B&J conditions. I'm 87kg,...

Having the same type of sail can be a good thing for familiarity of rigging and sailing feel. However for a sail that size some cams would help with stability and range. You're making a reasonable...

BTW, my free ride was a 2006, but the particular brand makes slappy little _uckers.

I fully subscribe to no cam sails in smaller sizes. In fact I use NP Sabre's for my smaller slalom sails. For...

I'm not sure why there needs to be such a debate over Slalom vs. Freeride. If you want to ride a free ride, fine go for it, but why knock the slalom gear.

I think for a 67kg sailor the 122 would be right, but for 90kg I would go bigger. My partner uses a FU 122. I don't find that it planes any earlier than my IS 111. The volume is there but the tail...

I use a 7.8m and 9m on the 111, at about 88kg. Both work well but the 9 is much better with a 48cm fin. You just need to be careful not to bury the nose and submarine while slogging.
