You defo need to try WK some time, but best on a 30k plus westerly day if you want to see 40k plus on the dial. A...

I think that a change in the PWA rules to increase max board width to 90x would very good for the industry. As well as events being more exciting to watch, manufactures would get a boost in board...

What works on the slalom course also works in gps conditions, so there is a common link between the two.

Most uploaded sessions on gp3s.com are not done on a speed course, but are usually done on...

Luckily the remainder of the PWA tour is at windy locations, so board size should not be an issue.

But personally, I still think the limit could do with being raised to 90cm for the heavy weights....

Hi Bel, that's what I was thinking too, given the chance heavy weights would opt fir a slightly bigger board to remain competitive. World titles are at stake and it's a shame when BD can't plane at...

Hi Chris, thanks for the reply. Sean obrian said a similar thing to you. So I guess most don't need to go bigger. I think Sean is around 80kg, so his iS117/8.6m is enough in light winds.

I noticed...

PWA rules need up dating

I'm a big fan of all the PWA events, especially slalom. But more than often, events are spoilt by light winds at great cost to the sailors, event hosts and manufactures/sponsors. Why does this...

If you like the falcon 112 and 142 combo, it would make sense to stick with the iS107 and 130 combo. Especially if you intend getting a 9.3 at some point. Otherwise you might be disappointed with the...

Boom camera mount

I made this boom camera mount out of a broken carbon boom. You can get the idea on how it's made in the video. Can any of the more inventive types out there think of a design that allows you to...

Hi Carve

At 98kg, I'm not the best to offer you advice. But I reckon the answer is pretty straight forward anyway:)

At 72kg and as you mentioned 20k-30/35k, the iS87 will you the most...

Ok, so you want too cut the u shaped section shorter? That would make the boom less stiff and would not make the boom shorter. No benefit.

Sorry if I'm misunderstanding you.

Hi Ittiandro

Not sure what you mean by "inner tube"' but if you are shortening a boom, you will be cutting the arms shorter, this means you will need two new clip assemblies. Sometimes you can get...

Hi Unreg

If your happy with your iSonics, your probably best staying with iSonics. It does make sense having a full set in the same brand. Don't worry about the diffeence in volume between the...

Noticed you'd had no reply so thought I'd chip in:)

Not much info around on the MFC's, but the ones I've seen are best described as budget fins. I think Micah B used to use the (so...

iS90 2014

This is the one I've been watching, mainly as a replacement for my beloved W58 light wind speed board. Was worried that the iS90 might be slower, but Peter V's recent Aussie session has sort of...

Same as what Allan said. I think there is a lot of confusion between the iS110 and iS117 as (on paper) they appear very similar.

Unless your very light weight, the iS110 is for medium conditions,...

Stick with the iS111, not the iS122. The advice is correct. 490/7.8m is first choice and 460 with NS carbon Xtender if your light weight (or on a budget), but the 7.8m was designed around the 490:)

Hi Matt

For best value, it would definetly be wise to to go for 2009 133 and 111, plus it will give more chance to get a good fin quiver. You can always upgrade these during the next year or so. I...

Hi Van

The answer is no, the 2013 will not go through lulls better and come off the plan slower than the 2014.

Like Remi said, the "slightly" narrower tail width is countered by the "slightly"...

Hi Robert,

You will get a lot of use out of the iS137. For an XL slalom board, it has a massive range, but you must invest in 3 fins. I'm slightly heavier at 100kg and use a 52cm, I only use this...
