RE: EVO 83 for B&J
The EVOs are generally best on a wave, but it depends a bit about what kind of feel you're after. The EVO 83 can be sailed with a sort of locked in feel and its a nice blasting board if you want something that smooths out the bumps a bit since it has a kind of soft ride. One of the british mags actually did recomend if also for blasting.
If you're only doing costal blasting and for example never tries frontside waverides, then you may also want to look into the Kombat range. They still hold a rail very well in a turn and works nice in wave riding, but thay give you a more direct feel.
