RE: Strap position vs mastbase position

Iv'e been playing with the location of the mastbase and I am getting to get a better feeling for the rocker effect.
The "expert" at the store installed the front straps in the frontmost-innermost option of the board, and I am not getting balanced there.
What is the best placement for the straps? What do I need to look for?
