Based on feedback from Dolf Daam, he has been successfully using an Aero 117 with a custom 9.0 Hot Sails Maui Superfreak. However, he has also coodinated the manufacure of a custom Vector fin to be used with the combination, so one could ask whether a 9.0 would be so viable based on the Aero's standard fins. It's understanding that the Aero came with two fins, a wave and a freeride shape. Also, he is using the setup in Maui for light wind days, so that needs to be kept in mind. Maybe Dolf will comment further.
