I just wonder if I measure the current Gaastra boom settings on my rigs and they match Chinook range then I should be ok with Chinook without trying it first?

Marek: Just one thing for you< Make sure you have a partner to sail because that Chinook Boom extended to the 8-9m sail is going to be a hazard. I suggest if you are going to buy a boom buy one for the 5.9 to 7.6 range and then buy one for the 7.8 to 9.0m range. You can buy a great pair of MS aluminum booms that will have the strenght and the price of just one carbon boom and they are so inexpensive that if one fails at any point it wont hurt your pocket to buy another one.
