I know a lot of sailors who'll disagree with the "flying/hammering" comment (me included). Yes I've spent 3 seasons on a hyper in all wind strengths (often way below and above its comfortable range), and 3 last seasons on iSonics. It was an interesting design when it appeared (2002/3) and it had its plusses, namely HUGE sail and wind range and near-formula angles. But no way I would trade iSonic ride for a hyper now (I refer mostly to iS111 and 122). iS is much more reactive, faster, much better gybing and in my opinion more fun.
