agrelon, once kept formula records and as I recall, the top speeds were in the 32-34 knot range. These speeds were under the speedsurfing rules (average of five -10 second runs). I may not have this correct so for those that are more up to date, please jump in.

I don't believe that in the video, which I have seen, that they are going over 30 knots. The water is too choppy and sustained speeds at 30 knots would be very difficult.

For 7 years, I tried to break 30 knots on my formula boards, but I guess that I don't have the skill and weight to do it. My best is 28.2 knots. I weight 79 kg.
