Impressive... But hitting and keeping an average speed over 500 metres are quite different tasks.
Think about an ice boat. With an old fashioned heavy rig it easily hits +100 km/h..
It´s all down to the drag factor. If we can eliminate drag through the water from the board and fin my old 5.75 wave sail can bring me up to 70 knots... ;-))
