to continue Per, (sorry had to log out) It interesting , but find it counterintuitive that the larger phantom would be more controllable in higher winds then the equipe.
its so much more boxier then the boards ive seen ( ie: mistral OD , equipes, lighting race) and with a bigger centerboard i would think to rail the board upwind and press it for max pointing it would be harder to sail in heavier wind.
I would think it would take a "heavier" sailor to do this right in heavy airs.
