A Carve, even in the smaller sizes, might be a bit too wide for chop-hopping. I think both Kode and Futura would be good. Futura is theoretically faster than the Kode though the Kode is more manouevrable so may allow you to position yourself better for hitting good chop.
I have tried neither of these boards (sadly) but in my case I can chop hop well running 2 straps at the back, so I don't think that having plugins for a centerstrap will be a significant argument for the Kode.
