Hi all,

for a quick and right to the point on each board my answer is as follow:

2009 Flare 98:
quick acceleration, fast, good in light to medium wind,
Makes the sliding freestyle moves so easy and the sliding of this board when you are in a grubby or spock is like a knife in butter.
The pop of this board is very poor. but overall not a high wind board you will find it feeling big.

2010 Flare 98:
A bit slow in acceleration, fast while you are planing feels much comfortable when cruising.
A perfect good board in choppy conditions and medium to heavy wind this board will amaze you.
Sliding is a bit sticky in the begining but once you get the feel of it you will be okay.
The POP is the best. so easy and very much control when you are doing the jumps.

Overall:
The flare 2009 is more like light to medium wind non so choppy sea conditions board.
still is a great board will be a perfect board for beginner to advance freestyle sailors.

The flare 2010 is more like a medium wind and from flat to choppy conditions board.
I will recomend this to any one from Medium to profesional and if you want or if you are sailing in a spot which gets like choppy conditions it will be your best board.

hope this helps any more question get back asap.
