Hey:
Donut have the GO 171, butt a similiar board and weigh more than you
For me a board of this size is good to about 20 knots which is ~ 20 mph
After that - as you said, the chop starts
Above 20 knots with some chop at my/our weight, i prefer a smaller, narrower board
NOT to say it cannot be done
I have sailed a 7-oh in overpowering conditions on a similiar board
it's just that i feel it is a rougher ride than on a smaller, narrower board
ie you have to work a little harder and donut bite your tongue :-)
