Default SUP on an old longboard, my experience..

Hi..
A few weeks ago a sailor asked if it was possible to do SUP on an old longboard.
Today I tried on my old Mistral SLE 311 race board.
It's 311 x 68 cm and 183 litres which makes it quite small compared to a true SUP board. I'm + 100 kgs dressed.
I attached the head from a paddle to the top of my 430 mast and went SUPping in 2 knots of wind..
It worked... Quite well actually.. I could sit down, on my knees or stand up fully and paddle the board quite well..
My first thought was why the "real" paddles aren't double headed like the ones you use on a kayak. It would make the paddling a lot faster...
Actually I'm a little hooked on this. I went out in almost zero wind and had a good session of fun and exercise. The weather was cold (8 C) but it was clear blue sky, sunshine and very clear water.
Due to the exercise of it my drysuit was way too warm.
Does anybody of you know some fun tricks to do when paddling in low winds?
I would really like to try in low wind and swell/waves. I think it's really challengeing.
Look forward to ┬┤try a "real" SUP board
