Default S-TYPE 104 2007 : what's the good duck tail ?

Hello,

in a first time, sorry for my english, i don't speak it fluently.

I'm very interested of the STYPE 104 2007. Two french dealers have send me two different photo of the rear of the board :

The first one :

The second one :

Why the hole for the fin's screw are not the same ? It's realy the same model ...

Can you say what is the definitive shape ? Is the board with not round holes should be anolder model than the other ?

Thank to help me.

Best regards, Pierrick.

I'm pretty sure the current year has the oval shaped openings and prior years have the circular openings. The oval openings make it easier to get the fin screws inserted and removed. They have the same changes on the iSonic 105 (2006) and 101 (2007).

Pas tout a fait ( not exactly )......

La deuxième est une 07 ( the second )

La première a la couleur d'une 2007, les strap 2007,
mais les trous de vis d'une 2006
( the first => color and strap 2007 but 2006 fin's screw hole )

Une pré-série ???????????????????????
A pilot run ????????

In fact, the first board has a lower serial number (wich ends by x000008) wich should significate that it's a first serie. Thnaks for your point of view !

I would like to know if someone could send a photo of the rear of his STYPE 104 2007 board (to see the hole of fin screw) and its serial number ? Thanks for that. I find that the holes on the second photo i've sent are shaped approximativly ... Also there is a little defect of painting (the red colour "overflows" the white one) : what do you think about that ? This is not a secondhand board.

I'm very interested by this board (serial number : SSW10406060042) but i would like to feel reassured.

well,
the first series of the 2007 version has still got the 'old' screwholes. a surfbuddy of mine has got an early version. I've got an later version, and it has big screwholes, just like in the brochure. I noticed that the tested s-type 2007 in the German 'surf' magazine also was an early version.
another difference : the color pattern of footpaddesign (black/ white) is somethimes the other way around. B)
