Default How can I repair a tear on the EVA deck?

I just got a GO 155 and I been out a few times with it (it rocks!!!!) today it was blowing about 25 mph and I got catapulted on a gust.

Anyway the mast extension hit the deck and left a ding on the Eva pad :@ - I don't want it to tear more that what already has.

What do you recommend?

Thanks

Carlos

If it's just a ding, i.e., divot, I'd leave it.

If the pad is separating from the board (coming unglued), then industrial strength contact cement or hot melt glue will tack it back down. Be sure the pad and board are dry first.

If you use hot melt glue, you'll get better adhesion if you warm the board a little bit (not a lot) with a heater. Do NOT overheat the board, just get the glass warm to the touch. Probably a good idea to crack the vent while you do this, and then seal it again after the board cools.
