Remi,
I have two Deboichet fins (R13 S+ +8 70cm) (R19 S-- +6 70cm) My equipment: Starboard 160, Gaastra Vapor 10.0 and 11.0. (1,90m and 83kg) I'm having too many spin outs with the R19. Why? What can I do? I need some tips to avoid spin outs? Thanks in advance Marvin |

I'm using the mast track in the middle and when above 18-20 knots a move it a bit forward.
The sails I use to downhaul a bit more than recomended. I don't know what else do you need? I have just received this R19 and I sailed just twice with it. Maybe I didnīt get used to it and need practice more. But I spin out even in downwind!!. Some tips would help. Thank you again |

Marvin,
I had the same problems with my R19 soft-- +8cm and I was so pissed off with it that I ended up selling it. When I switch to my R13 M +6 I do not have the same spin out problem. I never discovered the reason and I tried lots of setups, but probably the fin was too hard (the Drake fin was much softer). Sorry that I do not offer any solution, I was very dissapointed with it! Hi marvin377 & raffig,
This is my tips as Julien Quentel who wins the European. This is not to used over 15 knots to give very good result, over we go to other fins. Mast track position : A bit behind the middle of all the mast track Phoostsraps : All of them in the back and outside Height boom : eayes Harness line : I have trim harness line, but definitely same longer of my arm. Sorry my english is not perfect but you take your boom and harness line arrive to hook your elbow Trim of the sail : normal My height : 186cm My weight : 85kgs Hope this can help. All the best |
