Hi all,
I wish to thank all of you for your good wishes and indulgence while I recovered from getting the new heart valve. But now I'm back, with lower blood pressure and far more energy. I took the new Futura 133 out this afternoon with a 2008 5.6 m2 Sailworks Hucker sail rigged on a 430 Backbone mast. I'm feeling a few muscles that haven't been used since before the surgery, but I sailed about 8 runs of 1/2 mile each, got going pretty good, and almost managed to plane through a couple of jibes. Only had to pump once or twice and the board was only off plane for about 10 feet. I did fall in a couple of times (Bad Roger...!) but I guess that's to be expected with the amount of time I've had off the water. So, I'm back, I have the Futura 133 and Kombat 105 to figure out and test. I'm heading to Florida for Christmas (Pine Island/Fort Myers area) so I should be pretty much back in shape by the end of the year if there's any wind in Florida while I'm there. So, please ask away here on the forum. R |
