Hi,
I was an active surfer from 1968-1984. Since I was born in Rio and later moved to California, I was always very active with water sports including, diving, FINN class sailing, waterpolo, etc.. I even tried Windsurfing in the 80`s but I had a really hard time with the gear so I continued to focus on the other sports. We now live in Central Florida but we also have a condo in Sarasota that we spend summers, holidays and weekends. Sarasota will be where I will be Windsurfing. I am looking for an entry-level all wind board that can also be a long term board part of a quiver as I am sure I will want other equipment as I gain experience and technique. I weigh about 195 lbs but will probably drop to 185 lbs in the next month or so. The Rio board seems like a good choice but so does the Start, that perhaps my wife and 11 year old daughter could learn the sport as well. I look forward to your advice. Thanks.. |
