Long distance races in Europe

Hey guys,

I wanted to try some long distance racing...unfortunatelly there is not so much on internet about that...or it is hard to find. Could you please help me...

If you know any long distance race, please post a note here...including a webpage if available.
I am more interested on a race on a beam reach I do not like to circle around a smaal course many times...but I guess there is not a lot of such events.
