Is everybody ready for a laugh? I have an expensive carbon Trim box fin that I will never use again. Can I cut and grind that thing down to fit in a tuttle box? It looks like it may work. I would need to add one new nut, and since when the fin is flush on the bottom surface on the board, it won't hit the end of the tuttle box, I'll need a longer bolt. Has anyone ever done this?
I know that some have ground away most of the root and cast a new root using a fin box. But alignment seems difficult. |
