Hi all,
I had a fantastic session today on a SB Formula 156, with a 70cm Drake Fin and Ezzy 8.5m. Flat water, wind about 6-14knts. Damn can that thing point! I was pointing as well as sailboats and absolutely smashing them interms of vmg. Basically, after such a successful session a formula board is on my wish list as soon as I have some spare cash. The one thing I didn't like about this board is how the straps aren't very far over the rail, and as result there is a lot of pressure on your heels just about all the time. I'm assuming the JP Racedeck sort of solves this problem on their formula, but have there been any changes in the starboard formula ranges which make it so that there is more dome or the straps are further over the rail?? Also, you can tell by pushing the deck when the board is on land that the build isn't extreme rigid. Do the new WC constructions make the board a lot stiffer overall? Thanks, Looking forward to more sessions on that board., Adrien
