mast for overdrive

can i use a 490 mast with a 9.7m overdrive??? cause from the severne web, is shows tat it needs a 530 mast and tat means buying a new one...so i was wondering if i could use it with a 490 mast and a BASE EXTENSION 40 or maybe i should get the reflex 2 ??? please help

Hi Donovan,

Yes you can use it like this with a 490 and still gt very good performances particularly in choppy condition.

Will this also be okay for a 90 kg sailor? bottom end...?

Hi MOP,

I am 93kgs and is ok. A bit less nervous but bottom end speed excellent.

Recommend Red Line or Enigma in this case.

thanks, it is good to hear that the bottom end power is very good even with a 490 mast.

Why is it better with a red line or enigma mast? stiffer?
