Default 2006 Evo 83 or Kombat 86

Trying to choose between 2006 Evo83 and K86. I'm 92kg. Sail 20% B&J, 50% onshore/cross on small messy waves, 30% cross/cross off 6 to 8ft clean waves. 4.5m to 5.7m sails mainly. 4.0m very occasionally.

Any advice? Which is best for jumping and which gives best control in 4/4.5m weather.

Default RE: 2006 Evo 83 or Kombat 86

Very tought to say. Both boards could do the job admirably. I think the EVO might be a tad easier to control on 4.0 weather, but the Kombat on the other hand has a more directional feel which some people like better form jumping.

The Kombat rides waves very nicely and especially for someone at your weight it would work great, but the EVO is a pure killer when it comes to wave riding on pretty much any conditions.

In the end I think it comes down to your sailing style. If you like to ride frontside as much as possible and aim for a more vertical style of riding you should go for the EVO. But if you love blasting and aim for a more drawn out style of wave ridign the Kombat might be a good choice. Both boards will do whichever style, but prefer the more vertical and more drawn out respectively.
